How to Sell VoIP and Telecom Services on Hivoox

Hivoox allows telecom operators, VoIP providers, IT companies, and telecom resellers to sell professional telephony services to business customers worldwide.

This guide explains the technical requirements for sellers who want to publish VoIP, SIP trunk, virtual number, DID number, hosted PBX, SMS, call plan, or other telecom services on Hivoox.

1. Telecom Service Requirements on Hivoox

To sell IP telephony services on Hivoox, sellers must be able to provide a customer portal allowing end users to:

  • view their balance and consumption;
  • manage their account;
  • configure SIP lines;
  • access their telecom services;
  • view numbers, credentials, and settings;
  • monitor usage and service activity.

If you provide SIP accounts, SIP trunks, VoIP services, virtual numbers, DID numbers, cloud PBX services, or telecom connectivity, you must also provide a SIP server address using a Hivoox subdomain.

Examples:

  • Customer portal: yourcompany.hivoox.com
  • SIP server: sip541.hivoox.com

This allows customers to use a professional and unified telecom environment while sellers continue operating their own infrastructure.

2. DNS and Subdomain Configuration

To activate your telecom services on the platform, you must provide Hivoox with:

  • your requested subdomains;
  • the destination IP addresses;
  • your domains or servers;
  • any technical information required for DNS configuration.

Our technical team may configure CNAME records, A records, reverse proxy settings, or other DNS configurations required for proper integration.

3. Important Rules for Customer Portals

The customer portal must only be used for technical service management, including:

  • account configuration;
  • balance consultation;
  • usage monitoring;
  • SIP settings;
  • telecom service management;
  • related technical features.

The customer portal must not be used for direct billing outside Hivoox, collecting payments, creating external subscriptions, redirecting customers to third-party marketplaces, or bypassing the Hivoox platform.

All payments, invoices, renewals, account funding, and subscriptions must be processed exclusively through Hivoox.

Hivoox remains the only billing platform for all customers using services sold through the marketplace.

4. Seller Responsibilities

The seller is responsible for:

  • providing and maintaining the telecom services;
  • ensuring service stability and availability;
  • managing infrastructure and routing;
  • handling technical provisioning;
  • complying with applicable telecom regulations;
  • delivering the purchased services to customers.

Sellers receive payments through the Hivoox platform according to the applicable marketplace rules and payout schedule.

Through Hivoox, sellers may access or request the information necessary to provide telecom services, including regulatory documents, identity verification, proof of address, company registration documents, or other documents required depending on the country and service involved.

5. Alternative: Use the Hivoox VoIP Platform

If you do not have a customer portal, telecom billing software, or your own VoIP management platform, Hivoox can provide a standardized telecom portal allowing you to sell your services directly through our infrastructure.

In this case, you only need to provide:

  • your list of numbers or plans via CSV file;
  • your pricing information;
  • your SIP trunk details;
  • your telecom connection information for integration.

Once validated by our technical team, your telecom services can be activated and sold through Hivoox.

This option is suitable for telecom startups, VoIP resellers, small operators, DID providers, SIP providers, and companies without their own customer portal.

6. How to Create Your Telecom Services on Hivoox

To publish a telecom service, log in to your Hivoox seller account and access your seller dashboard.

– Choose a Product Category

Select the category corresponding to your telecom service. If you are unsure which category to choose, our team may adjust it during product review.

Examples of categories include virtual numbers, SIP trunks, toll-free numbers, cloud PBX, SMS services, telecom minutes, hosted VoIP, and fax services.

– Click “Add Product”

Create a new telecom product or service from your seller dashboard.

– Select the Product Type

Choose whether the product is virtual, simple, downloadable, subscription-based, or configurable. Most telecom services should be configured as virtual products.

– Enter the Product Name Correctly

Products on Hivoox are organized alphabetically by country and service type. For better visibility, product names should begin with the country name.

Examples:

  • France – Virtual Number
  • United States – SIP Trunk
  • Germany – Toll-Free Number
  • Canada – DID Number

This helps buyers quickly find telecom services by country.

– Set Pricing

Enter the selling price, recurring subscription price, setup fee, or monthly billing amount, depending on the nature of your service.

– Add a Short Description

Write a short and clear summary explaining what the service includes, its main features, and any important technical information.

– Add a Full Description

The full product description should contain at least 15 lines and clearly explain the service, supported countries, SIP compatibility, included features, supported codecs, routing quality, setup information, regulatory restrictions, and customer requirements.

Detailed descriptions improve visibility on search engines and help customers better understand your offer.

– Configure SEO Information

Open the SEO section and add a focus keyword, a meta description, and relevant SEO content. Good SEO helps customers discover your telecom services through Google, Bing, and other search engines.

– Configure Product Add-ons and Options

If your telecom service includes options, use the Add-ons section.

Examples of options include city selection, area codes, DID regions, call packages, SMS bundles, routing options, setup choices, or telecom plans.

If your product contains many options, especially more than 20 options per product, you may contact our team to request bulk import assistance.

– Configure Product Policies

If your telecom service includes special requirements, usage policies, regulatory limitations, KYC requirements, activation delays, or country restrictions, specify them in the Product Policies section.

– Submit Your Product

Once your product is complete, click “Submit” at the bottom of the page. Our moderation team will review the product before publication.

7- Anti-Plagiarism and Content Quality Policy

Hivoox does not accept copied descriptions, misleading content, false technical specifications, or duplicated text from other websites.

Your short description, full description, SEO content, and product information must be unique and original.

Search engines may penalize duplicated content, and copied descriptions can reduce the visibility of your products on Hivoox and in search results.

We strongly recommend writing clear, detailed, professional, and original descriptions for all telecom services published on Hivoox.
