Restrictions on National Caller ID Usage for Certain Destinations
Unfortunately, it is becoming increasingly difficult to place national calls using a local caller ID in several countries. This situation occurs when a call is made to a specific country while using a caller ID originating from the same country.
For example, Hungarian caller IDs can no longer be reliably used for calls to Hungary. However, calls can still be completed successfully when using a valid caller ID from another country, such as another EU destination.
These restrictions are imposed by national telecom operators and local authorities and are outside of our control. As a result, we are unable to override or bypass these limitations.
Recommended alternatives
- Place calls using a default caller ID, or
- Use a verified caller ID from a different country than the destination, where applicable
It is also important to note that call completion rates generally improve significantly when using a DID number from the same destination country. When available, using a local DID as the caller ID can help reduce filtering and increase call acceptance.
These options may help ensure better call completion depending on the destination and routing conditions.
We apologize for any inconvenience this situation may cause and appreciate your understanding. Our teams continue to monitor routing behavior and regulatory changes closely.
